Canon 5DsR

This is my camera for commercial work where the 50mp resolution is needed or wanted. The extra resolution helps to fulfil client briefs ( and hard drives ).

I love the files from this camera and the colours/skin tones are great. Not quite like my fav 5D Mark II files but closer than other later Canon DSLR bodies.

Canon 5D Mark IV

My back up high-ish resolution camera (30mp). To be honest this one is likely to go this year as I much prefer the files of the 5DsR and 5D Mark II bodies.

The AF is great on it as is the dual pixel AF for video work but I just don’t love shooting with it.

Will most likely replace it with a 5Ds.

Canon 5D Mark II

I own two of these bodies including my original one which is still going strong. A workhorse of a camera and I still love the colours and files from it.

At 21mp it can still hang for professional work today and they are cheep as chips on the used market.

The usb port is a weak point and if care is not taken can result in a £400 repair bill. Whoops.

I use one for BTS, 2nd video angle and timelapse and the main one get used for head shot jobs. Nobody needs a 50mp head shot so 21 is plenty. The sensor in this whilst not the best performing by todays’ standards has something special about it.

If I had to start again today I would buy two 5D Mark II bodies and get to work.

Canon M3

I use this camera for BTS videos and some YouTube videos. It’s ok but I don’t like the sensor for stills. Would sell it but it’s got tape holding it together so won’t be worth much.

it get’s paired with the EOS-M 15-45 kit lens mostly but I do also have the EOS-M to EF adapter as well.

Fuji X100

I F**king love this little camera. It’s a total pain in the ass to use and slow as Christmas but it packs a punch and slows you down.

The 23mm (35mm Equiv) fixed lens is great and I can sync flash at 1/1000th sec with is also without needing High Speed Sync.

Great for BTS shots or candid’s as it is whisper quiet to use. It uses the original 12mp bayer sensor which I preffer to the current X-Trans that Fuji use.
